So few days ago I made my own homemade Buckwheat Granola & I am in love I am need to make more tomorrow!

Firstly, I was never a granola fan, I just didn’t fancy all that added sugar and the extra calories! But this version I am totally loving for many reasons:

  • its homemade (therefore no added sugar, processed stuff and I am in control to what ingredients I include in my recipe)
  • The main ingredient is buckwheat which is one of my favourite things in this world! I can have buckwheat for breakfast, lunch dinner and I won’t be bored – check out my Buckwheat recipe here 🙂
  • It is sooo yummy and a perfect snack on the go

You can also play and added or take off any of the ingredients in my list but anyways let me tell you how I made mine…

You will need the following:

  • Buckwheat (uncooked)
  • Coconut flakes
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Dried fruits
  • Almonds
  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Rice syrup
  • & love + passion! (Make sure you include this to ensure your recipe turn out yummy!)

 Instructions:

  • You firstly, need to wash and rinse your buckwheat (uncooked)
  • Place buckwheat in the oven and let it bake for 8-10 mins, make sure you placed a parchment sheet on the baking tray
  • Transfer the buckwheat into a bowl and add all the dry ingredients then add your syrup and stir
  • Make sure you do not add too much syrup that it’s all runny! (apologies for not providing the exact measures here, I was experimenting and forgot to measure my potions but you can literally play with the quantity, depending on your preference)

  • Place a parchment paper on a baking tray and transfer the mixture into the tray an bake for another 10 minutes, until the coconut flakes turn into a nice golden colour 🙂
